Enjoyed a last min booked one night stay ( room No 4) enroute to Shrewsbury from Plymouth. Nice room , comfy bed but could hear some noise from the ‘trunking ‘ outside the bedroom window. Stopped at night so didn’t disturb sleep . Room overlooks the pub gardens - wet weather stopped seating being used so no noise. We ate dinner in the cozy dining room - very well looked after by attentive staff. Breakfast next morning was good too -sadly no pastries on offer as a problem with supplier but not a big deal for us . Caught bus from across the road into Worcester to visit the Cathedral which is a must . Would definately stay here again . Lovely pub/ hotel & staffless
The Bell is an old favourite of ours as we used to live in Lower Broadheath so it was the obvious choice for my Mum’s 80th birthday lunch. There were 22 of us, seated on a long table in the skittle alley part of the pub. We’d pre-ordered our meals due to the number of people & this was a great idea. The meals came out very promptly, all at the same time, nicely presented & hot. Everyone was very complimentary about the food which was fantastic. Special mention to the staff. An absolute credit to Lyndsey & Ian, the owners. We arrived early to put balloons on tables & to make arrangements for her surprise cake. Becky was very helpful arranging everything; nothing was too much trouble & the other waitresses were brilliant dealing with so many meals & drinks. Thank you all for contributing to making my Mums birthday a very special one.less
Recommended by a couple staying here. Very pooch friendly. Decent reasonably priced 2 course lunch menu. Plus a sausage for the dog… first pub we have been into that has a dog menu. Clearly a popular pub at lunchtime, lots of occupied tables. We ate well, nothing earthmoving but good enough. Staff are friendly & hospitable, credit to their pub. Gave us a nice table, plenty of room for the pooch to stretch out. Thank you.less
